Remembrance Park Donation
The Revitalization of Moorestown’s Remembrance Park is Underway - and each of us can help!
For more than a century, Moorestown neighbors have tended this small triangle of land with big hearts. The Moorestown Improvement Association, American Legion Post 42, Community Link, veterans, scouts, gardeners, and families have all left their mark here.
Since 2022, volunteers have responded to a community call to help weed in Spring and Fall. A simple ceremony took place, in the rain, on September 11, 2022, re-dedicating ourselves to the park's revitalization.
Phase I work included - Power washing of the benches and planters, New Plantings, Solar Lighting of the Monument and the Sculpture, Legacy funding for future needs.
Each year since clean-up and work days have continued. Much is left to do.
Currently fundraising goals are:
GOAL 1
A New Welcome Sign
A handsome, lasting sign telling the story of Remembrance Park
GOAL 2
A Red Poppy Sculpture
A permanent, weather-resistant poppy — symbol of WWl remembrance — to stand as a tribute near the monument
Moorestown Improvement Association has graciously agreed to be the facilitator of tax deductible donations for this project. Assuming successful fundraising and volunteer commitment,
